Knitting for good
September 5th, 2010
The St. Anthony foundation hopes to collect thousands of scarves, ideally enough scarves to give one to all of their guests this holiday season. Knitting groups all around the city and beyond are pledging to make scarves for strangers in need. The St. Ignatius high school knitting club has pledged to make 250 scarves before the deadline of December 15th, 2010. How many scarves will SF Knitting Supply pledge? Who’s in?
Scarves should be washable wool or acrylic blends, no cotton. See the website for more details http://www.stanthonysf.org/?q=donate/knit
Knitters shopping for supplies for their donations will receive a 20% discount at SF Knitting Supply.
